PVB filament (polyvinyl butyral) from ROSA3D is a polymer that allows you to obtain effective-looking, transparent prints.

For this purpose, it is enough to treat the surface of the finished print with isopropyl alcohol (IPA). The ease of printing with PVB filament makes it suitable even for people starting their adventure with 3D printing. PVB is characterized by low shrinkage and no odor. In terms of mechanical properties, it ranks between PET-G and PLA. Thanks to the possibility of obtaining a transparent structure, it is perfect for printing a wide range of designer, single-walled objects such as vases or lamp shades. On the other hand, PVB filled figures or sculptures, after surface treatment, look like they were taken out of the injection mold. Please note that PVB filament is hygroscopic. For this reason, we advise you to keep it tightly closed and dry immediately before printing, in order to ensure the best quality of the printed element.

Recommended printing parameters:

extrusion temperature: 200-225 ° C

bed temperature: 65-75 ° C

supply: 50-100% (depending on the geometry of the model)

printing speed: 60-80 mm / s

Filament can be printed on unheated tables, in an open chamber. In case of adhesion problems, we recommend the use of an adhesive. Cooling down while printing is recommended. Its power should be adjusted to the capabilities of the printer and the geometry of the printed model.
