ASA filament (acrylonitrile-styrene-acrylic) from ROSA3D is a polymer resistant to UV radiation, moisture and heat. ASA's resistance to UV radiation makes it a suitable material for outdoor applications that will be intensively exposed to the sun and various weather conditions. ASA is ideal when you need an efficient material that will be less problematic than printing from ABS. The filament has a lower level of shrinkage and the generated vapors are much less noticeable. The softening point of ASA prints is higher compared to PLA and PETG, there is no sign of deformation up to temperatures close to 94 ° C. Exceptional mechanical and thermal properties of ASA together with excellent resistance to radiation UV makes it an ideal ABS material and alternative for use in the automotive, marine, and exterior applications such as mirror housings, covers, radiator grills and sensor housings.
